Travelling to Brussels on a fairly regular basis, I decided it was about time I went to visit Mini-Europe.
The 6-acre site is located in the Bruparck a few miles to the north east of Brussels city centre. It contains almost 400 perfectly recreated miniature buildings from across the European Union, including the UK Houses of Parliament, Eiffel Tower, Brandenberg Gate, Arc de Triomphe, Acropolis and Leaning Tower of Pisa.
Anyone visiting Mini-Europe, which is emblazoned with EU flags, cannot escape the fact that it is decidedly pro-European. Whatever your political persuasion the millimeter-perfect precision of the models and carefully-manicured gardens make it a worthwhile day out.
